KAPA‘A — A 35-year old Kapa‘a woman remains in police custody after being arrested Wednesday for attempted murder.
According to police, Kehaunani Kauo was driving a 1991 green Honda station wagon when she struck her boyfriend, Robert Villaros, age 41, as he was walking along Apopo Road at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, a county news release states.
Villaros sustained minor injuries on his lower legs, arms and back area. He was transported by ambulance to Wilcox Hospital where he was treated and released.
As a result of the police investigation, Kauo was arrested at her home at about 4:50 p.m. She is being held in police cellblock for second-degree attempted murder in lieu of $100,000 bail.
