LIHU‘E — Chance Bukoski of the Hawai‘i Pacific University’s men’s soccer team was named to the 2010 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division II All-West Region Team, Thursday.
The announcement came from the NSCAA national office.
Bukoski, a junior forward and a 2008 graduate of Kapa‘a High School, earned a Second Team honor after a stellar season in which he produced 13 goals and eight assists.
He finished the year second in the PacWest in total points (34), game-winners (5), points per game (2.12), goals and goals per game (0.81), and topped the league in assists and in assists per game (0.50).
Bukoski’s All-Region selection was his first after being named First-Team All-PacWest for three consecutive seasons. He guided the Sea Warriors to a 12-6 overall record and a second place conference finish for the third straight season. Bukoski was the lone player selected from the Hawai‘i schools.
His numbers and results have been consistent as Bukoski has scored 13 goals in back-to-back seasons and now has 33 in his HPU career, while dishing out 15 assists. He has also started all 53 matches for the Sea Warriors.
HPU closed out the season on a five-game win streak with two victories over UH-Hilo and single wins over Dominican University, Chaminade and BYU-Hawai‘i.
