PUHI — Five separate choirs, then all of them combined, performed a mini-concert of voices of Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School students on Saturday, a preview of the school winter concert set for Dec. 14.
The Saturday performance was part of the school craft fair.
The school bands will perform, also on the school’s playcourt, Dec. 11, during another craft fair at the school.
The Dec. 14 winter concert begins at 6:30 p.m.
Performing Saturday, under the direction of Julianne Hiu, were the Enrichment Chorus, Sixth Grade Chorus, Na Leo Ho‘omau and Concert Choir, members of all those groups combining for the finale, an arrangement of “Deck the Halls” and “Jingle Bells.”
The Concert Choir is raising funds for a March trip to a choral festival on O‘ahu, and the Concert Choir and Na Leo Ho‘omau will perform at 11 a.m. Dec. 18 at Kukui Grove Center.
