Tiana Ramos was thrilled to walk with her mom in The Kaua‘i Christmas Parade, Saturday. She is the baby sister of Waimea High School basketball player Jullynn Ramos and didn’t even know about the key role Brandon Palacio played in Waimea’s win over Nanakuli, Friday night.
The Hawks’ coach, Larry Kapu, said the high school players had a chance to watch three quarters of the Nanakuli Junior Midgets against Kapa‘a at Hanapepe Stadium before having to head to Kapa‘a for their final game at the pre-season basketball tournament, Saturday.
Larry had his players enjoying some time at Kukui Grove Center, Sunday, where another Larry, Larry Rivera, is getting excited about doing his Christmas show, Friday night at Kukui Grove.
Mary Lardizabal of the Kapa‘a Middle School chorus said her kids are excited about being part of the Walmart float for the Lights on Rice parade, Friday. The chorus will be doing a free concert at the Kapa‘a Middle School, the parade Friday, and finally singing at the Kaua‘i Hospice Candlelight Service on Monday at Immaculate Conception Church.
