PUHI — You better not bark, you better not whine, you better not cry, I’m tellin’ you why, Santa Paws is coming to town!
The 18th annual Santa Paws is a fundraiser to benefit the 7,000 homeless, abused, abandoned and neglected animals cared for annually by Kaua‘i Humane Society, a news release states.
The event is an opportunity to bring your keiki and four-legged friend(s) to meet Santa Paws and have the moment captured in a photograph.
Santa Paws will be stopping his sleigh at Kaua‘i Humane Society on Saturday and Sunday, from 1 to 4 p.m.
During his short stay, pets and their family members will be able to get their photos snapped with Santa and his elf assistants. Since the animals often tell Santa they’d like to “lend a paw” to help less fortunate animals, a $35 fee will be collected to help the Humane Society make its wish come true, the release states.
The photos will take place in the Humane Society’s shelter classroom, 3-825 Kaumuali‘i Highway. No appointment is necessary.
Photography is donated by professional photographer Carol Ann Davis of Portraits of Hawai‘i.
Donations of new pet toys are also being accepted from now through December so that every adopted animal during the holidays gets a gift. Donations can be dropped off all day, every day at the shelter.
