Agustina Fernandez
Agustina Rivera Fernandez of Hanama‘ulu died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 1, 2010, at age 87. Born in Vintar, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, on May 2, 1923, she was a homemaker and retired from Tip Top Café as a pantry helper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eusebio Fernandez.
She is survived by daughters A. Nancy (Angel) Acorda of Hanama‘ulu and Ellaine (James Reiter) Fernandez of Honolulu; grandchildren Aric Acorda, Aaron Acorda, Aimee-Lea Acorda and Austine Acorda; brother-in-law Loreto Fernandez of Hanama‘ulu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 27, at Immaculate Conception Church, with visitation at 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.

David Kea
David-John Halemanu Kea of Anahola died Oct. 19, 2010, at age 54. He was born on Aug. 12, 1956, in Okinawa.
He was preceded in death by wife Doreen Kea; sister Susie Kekahuna; and parents John Louis and Venancia Ebalaroza Kea.
He is survived by sons Kawika (Keleen) Na-o, Manu (Chelsea) Kea; daughters Napua (Alan) Jeffries, Venancia (Kyle) Kea; companion Lovey Harper; brothers Vincent (Jaime) Kea, Sam (Liane) Kea, Patrick Kea; hanai brother Robin Escuabro; sisters Jovena Daniels, Patricia (Steven) Tani, Keahi (Ted) Nuuanu, Momi (Leonard) Kaeo, Maka (Edward) Carriera; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Service will begin at 11 a.m., Dec. 4, at Anahola Beach Park, with luncheon to follow.
Family requests casual attire and flowers are welcomed.
Patrick Nagao
Patrick Nagao of Wailua died at home on Oct. 25, 2010 at the age of 67. He was born in Kealia on May 26, 1943, retired from the Carpenters Union and was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Nagao, and parents, Hideo and Lillian Nagao.
He is survived by two sons: Rodney (Rhonda) Nagao of Honolulu and Eric Nagao of Wailua; daughter Patricia (Andy) Chong of Wailua; six grandchildren: Lauren Nagao, Haley Nagao, Aron Nagao, Brandon Chong, Davin Chong and Kimi Chong; three brothers: Stanley (Shirley) Nagao, Allan Nagao and Brian (Laura) Nagao; aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010 at Niumalu Beach Park at 1 p.m., with a luncheon to follow.

Elisabeth Huddy
Elisabeth Seehaus Huddy of Kapa‘a died on Nov. 15, 2010 at age 95. Born in Zwingenberg, Germany on Aug. 22, 1915, she was a supervisor at Hawaiian Fruit Packers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. F. Huddy.
She is survived by daughter Heidy (Robert) Huddy-Yamamoto; grandchildren Manfred, Eleanor, Kimo, Robbie, Michael and Craig, and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010 at Kapa‘a Missionary Church, with visitation at 9:30 a.m. and service at 10:30 a.m.
The family requests flowers be omitted.

Mitsue Yamakawa
Mitsue Yamakawa of Koloa died at home on Nov. 11, 2010, at age 84. Born on Oct. 3, 1926, in Waimea, she retired as a housekeeper from Sheraton Kaua‘i.
She was preceded in death by parents Kumao and Uki Miyazaki; brothers Yoshio and Robert Miyazaki; and grandchild Ryan Yamakawa.
She is survived by husband Shime Yamakawa of Koloa; daughters Lynn (Vernon) Fu of Koloa, Annette (Dave) Printers-Harris of Honolulu, Lorene (Claude) Yoshimura-Tanigawa of Honolulu; son Rodney (Janice) Yamakawa of Honolulu; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four step-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; sisters Kikue Kusatani of Honolulu, and Alice Yoshimori of Koloa.
Friends may visit with family from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 27, at the Garden Island Mortuary chapel; service at 10 a.m. Casual attire suggested and flowers omitted.

Antonio Silva
Antonio Ispelite Silva, 11-month-old infant of Kapa‘a, Kaua‘i, died at 1:09 a.m., Oct. 29, 2010, at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu. He was born on Nov. 25, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital in Lihu‘e.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis S. and Emily P. Silva of Kalaheo and Samiuela Fifita of Kolomotu’a TBU.
He is survived by parents Louis C. Sr. and ‘Alisi Silva of Kapa‘a; grandmother ‘Alisi P. Fifita of Kolomotu’a TBU; sisters Michelle (Molena) Ayers of Kane‘ohe, Hawai‘i, Delcie (Chris) Okumura of Waimea, Hawai‘i, Mimosa A. and Carmen E. Fifita of Kolomotu’a TBU; brother Louis C. Richard Shen
Richard Tsu-Hsun Shen died Nov. 10, 2010, in Nanjing, China. Born on Nov. 13, 1922, he was the son of Yorkson Shen.
He is survived by his wife, Aida; sons, Richard and Robin; daughters-in law, Karen, Sherri and Virginia; grandson, Shihping Logan; and former wife, Geneva.
In his lifetime he worked in many countries as a civil engineer, architect and professor. He will be remembered as a scholar, diplomat, traveler, historian, teacher, mentor, friend, linguist, writer, dancer, chef, and bridge player.
Memorial services were held in Nanjing.
Marie Hiranaka
Marie ‘Leng’ T Hiranaka of Lihu‘e died Nov. 15, 2010, in Honolulu at age 65. Born on Sept. 13, 1945, she was the office manager of Lihu‘e Mini Storage.
She was preceded in death by parents Venancio Tabura Sr., Solidad Alalem; and sister Yolanda Cabinatan.
She is survived by husband Tomoo Hiranaka; son Cline (Renee) Hiranaka; daughter Treena (Season) Servantes Jr.; brothers Venancio “Boy” Tabura Jr., Kevin (Aimee) Tabura; sisters Lourdes (Norman) Agoot-Carlos, Sally (Jeffrey) Wright-Callejo, Melanie (Mike) Marshall, Tanya (Eric) Bordenkircher; hanai brother Clifford (Danette) Lee; grandchildren Tiffany Hiranaka, Brycen Hiranaka, Raine Servantes, Rilee Servantes, Tayler Hiranaka; and great-grandchild Brennan Hiranaka.
A celebration of life will be held at Immaculate Conception Church-Kaua‘i, Monday, Nov. 29; visitation at 8 a.m.; eulogy at 9:45 a.m.; service at 10 a.m.

Alan Chock
Alan Francis Chock of Kapa‘a, Kaua‘i, died Nov. 13, 2010, at age 60. Born in Honolulu, Hawai‘i, on Feb. 28, 1950, he was a graduate of Kamehameha School in 1968 and the executive chef of Orson’s Seafood Restaurant.
He is survived by his mother, Leonora Chock; sisters, Dale (Glenn) Ching, Juliana (Daryl) Uejo, Colleen (Jaime) Valdez, Monica (Bill) Carpenter; brothers, Gary (Didi) Chock, Kalani (Lei) Chock; 13 nieces and nephews; and six grandnieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, at Saint Philomena in Salt Lake, O‘ahu. Phone: 808-833-8080. Visitation begins at 8:30 a.m. with service at 10 a.m. Requested by Alan, no flowers and casual attire.

Thomas Littleton
Thomas M. Littleton died Nov. 16, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital in Lihu‘e, Hawai‘i, at age 92. Born Oct 16, 1918, in Whittemore, Iowa, he retired as Director of Transportation for Montebello Unified School District, past Exalted Ruler of Montebello Elks Lodge #2051, a lifetime member of the Montebello American Legion Post 272, and a Korean War veteran in the Army 41st Infantry Division.
He is survived by wife Sue Littleton; sons Larry Littleton (Susan Warren), Craig Littleton (Jennifer); sister Marge Niles of Casselton, North Dakota; numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The memorial service is Tuesday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m. at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Calif.

Michael Wilson
Michael “Mike” Patrick Wilson of Lihu‘e died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 20, 2010, at age 44. Born in Denver, Colo., on Dec. 17, 1965, he was a painter.
He was preceded in death by mother Loretta Silva and sister Lori Schmidt.
He is survived by wife Marian Soares Wilson; daughter Jessica Estes; son Mikey Wilson; father Gary Wilson; sisters Jacquelyn (Lee) Burfiend, Maureen Kahoopii, Linda (Owen) Naniseni, Patricia Moreno Monroy, Jennifer Illingsworth; brother Gary (Donna) Wilson; caregiver Helen Obrero; two grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, aunties and uncles.
Celebration of life will be on Nov. 24 at Old Koloa Church; service time at 1 p.m. and a scattering of ashes at a later date.
