PUHI — The Kaua‘i Humane Society will hold two sessions of Critter Camp during winter break, a news release states.
Students who attend will enjoy games, crafts and delicious snacks, but at the same time will bring holiday cheer to the homeless animals in the shelter, the release states.
Students in second through sixth grades are eligible to attend.
The first session will be Monday through Friday, Dec. 20-24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Before and after care can be arranged for an additional fee.
Students will plan a Christmas party for the animals, and will be given lessons in dog training.
The second session will be Monday through Friday, Dec. 27-31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The highlight of this camp will be preparing for a New Year’s feast for the animals.
Each session will cost $150 for all five days.
For the first time, the society is offering single-day attendance for $30 per day.
Parents may get application forms online at www.kauaihumane.org or may pick one up at the Kaua‘i Humane Society office.
The deadline for registering is Dec. 10.
