LIHU‘E — Dylan Wehrly of Boy Scout Troop 133 was recently presented with the Gold Palm Award, the third in the troop’s history.
Wehrly has the distinction of being the troop’s 40th Eagle Scout, the highest rank a Boy Scout can attain.
The Gold Palm award he earned represents 10 additional merit badges earned by the Scout prior to his 18th birthday.
Palms are presented to Scouts who earns merit badges after attaining the Eagle Scout rank.
A Bronze Palm represents five additional badges earned, a Gold Palm represents 10 badges, and a Silver Palm represents 15 badges earned.
Scoutmaster Mike Kano presented the award to the Eagle Scout, congratulating him on his hard work and perseverance.
Boy Scout Troop 133 is chartered by the Kapa‘a United Church of Christ.
