Charles Gokan
Charles Gokan of Lihu‘e died Oct. 30, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 73. Born June 26, 1937, in Lihu‘e, he was a meter mechanic with the County of Kaua‘i Department of Water.
He is survived by his wife, Hiroko Gokan; sons, Kevin Gokan of Lihu‘e and Cory (Lani) Gokan of Lihu‘e; grandchildren, Blaise, Riley and Kai; brothers, Melvyn (Madeline) Gokan of Honolulu, Wayne Gokan of Kaua‘i and Edward Gokan of Kaua‘i; and sister, Karen Gokan of Kaua‘i.
Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the Lihu‘e Christian Church; service at 5 p.m.
Family request casual attire and that flowers be omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Carl Moller
Carl A. Moller of Kapa‘a died on Oct. 22, 2010, at Straub Hospital, O‘ahu. Born on Dec. 19, 1925, in Champaign, Ill., he was a supervisor for Ford Motor Company.
Preceded in death by wife Katherine Moller and daughter Cynthia Moller, he is survived by granddaughter Iris.
Family members may visit with the family for a graveside service on Friday, Nov. 5, at 10 a.m. at Kalapaki Bay Memorial Park, Lihu‘e.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary.
