Luciano Yadao
Luciano “Ciano” Baclig Yadao of Hanama‘ulu died in Kahului, Maui on Oct. 24, 2010 at age 98. Born in Ilocos Sur, Philippines on Jan. 1, 1912, he was a push rake operator with Lihu‘e Plantation.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Buenaflora Yadao, and son, Jerry Yadao.
He is survived by his children: Warren Yadao of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Janice Neptune of California; Yvonne Martin of California; Robert Yadao of Honolulu and Encarnacion (Manolo) Mendez of Maui; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be on Thursday, Nov. 4, at Immaculate Conception Church, with viewing at 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m., with burial to follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.
The family requests casual attire.

Carl Moller
Carl A. Moller of Kapa‘a died on Oct. 22, 2010, at Straub Hospital, O‘ahu. Born on Dec. 19, 1925, in Champaign, Ill., he was a supervisor for Ford Motor Company.
Preceded in death by wife Katherine Moller and daughter Cynthia Moller, he is survived by granddaughter Iris.
Family members may visit with the family for a graveside service on Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Kalapaki Bay Memorial Park, Lihu‘e.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary.
Gerald Mariano
Gerald Allen “Jerry” Mariano of Wai‘anae, formerly of Hanapepe, died on Aug. 13, 2010, at age 71. Born on July 12, 1938, in Makaweli, he was employed with Kaiser Medical Center and a retired Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Mariano and Ida Jordan Mariano; and brothers Joseph “Sonny” Mariano and Rodney Mariano.
He is survived by wife Beverly Kalika Mariano and son Donovan Mariano, both of Wai‘anae; four sisters, Marjory Mariano Starman of New Mexico, Jeanette (Don) Johnson of Arkansas, Betty-Ann Lee of O‘ahu and Jasmine (Keith) Mariano-Hardy of Hanapepe; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held at the O‘ahu Cemetery Chapel and inurnment at National Memorial cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl, O‘ahu.
Apolinario Sagucio
Apolinario Sagucio of ‘Ele‘ele Oct. 23, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 69. He was born on December 6, 1940, in the Philippines. He was a crane operator for the Sugar Plantation.
He is survived by wife, Juanita Sagucio; son, Robert (Leeann) Sagucio Apolinario Sagucio Jr.; daughters, Cheryl (Gerry) Coyaso, Maribel (Tirrel) Sagucio, Donna Dagucio; sisters, Inocencia (Jan) Villasista, Sylvia Salumbides, Connie Sagucio; brother, Peter Sagucio; seven grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Nov. 6, at ‘Ele‘ele Sacred Hearts Church. Visitation at 9 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.

Hatsuyo Uyematsu
Hatsuyo “Patsy” Uyematsu of Wailua Houselots died Oct. 30, 2010, at Hale Kapuna Heritage Home at age 95. Born Aug. 26, 1915, in Kealia, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by husband Katsuto Uyematsu.
She is survived by son, David (Laureen) Uyematsu; daughter, Joan (Lester) Lee; and three grandchildren.

Shina Shiraki
Shina Shiraki of Wailua Houselots died Oct. 31, 2010, at home at age 100. Born on Jan. 23, 1910, in ‘Ele‘ele, she was a housewife, babysitter and seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her husband Satoshi Shiraki and son Thomas Mamoru Shiraki.
She is survived by son Tatsuo Steven (Edith) Shiraki of Quincy, Ill.; daughter Evelyn (Donald) Nagamine of Lihu‘e; grandchildren Lorna Nagamine, Donn (Susan) Nagamine, John (Kelly) Shiraki and Anne Shiraki; brother Mitsuo (Kiyoko) Kobayashi of Honolulu; sisters Tsuyako Hamasaki and Sadako (Yutaka) Ikeda both of Honolulu; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services will be held at a later date. Family request no koden (monetary donations). Donations may be made to the Kaua‘i Hospice. No flowers.
