LIHU‘E — Escorted by her father Alfred, Shealynna Ringor was crowned the 2010 Homecoming Queen for Kaua‘i High School, Saturday, at Vidinha Stadium.
There were no motorcades because of the rubberized track and immaculate green grass of the infield at the stadium. Instead, Kaua‘i High School borrowed golf carts from Kaua‘i Marriott to chauffeur its homecoming court.
Preceded by each class, a motorcade of golf carts carried the homecoming court and class representatives on a tour of all the fans between the junior varsity and varsity football games.
Ringor’s court included Miss Raider, Teal Basquez, a powerful outside hitter and versatile back row specialist for the Red Raider girls volleyball team.
Dayna Agustin, an avid volleyball supporter and solid Kaua‘i Junior Lifeguard performer, donned the sash and crown of Miss Victory.
Topaz Fernandez lived up to her billing as Miss Football, the cheerleader picking up the Red Raider pennant and walking it the length of the Kaua‘i home stands following the team’s 24-16 edge over Waimea High School.
Alysha Soria, another of the cheer squad who will be competing in the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation cheer competition at Kapa‘a High School, was named Miss Spirit.
Lisa Tangalin represented the Class of 2011 and Shyanne Sadora came forward as the representative for the Class of 2012.
Teesna Tani wore the crown and sash for the Class of 2015 and Sierra Chung represented the Class of 2014.
