LIHU‘E – University of Hawai‘i women’s soccer player Mari Punzal, of Kapa‘a, will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL in her left knee in UH’s loss to Idaho on Sunday night.
She will have surgery on the knee in the coming weeks, states a UH release.
The senior co-captain and two-time all-WAC player currently leads the team with three goals and two assists. The Rainbow Wahine (2-10-1, 0-2 WAC) next hit the road for a pair of matches at San Jose State (Oct. 8) and Fresno State (Oct. 10).
