Volunteers are needed to help with the Friends of the Lihu‘e Library Fall Used Book Sale opening Friday and running through Sunday at the Lihu‘e Library Conference Room.
Carolyn Larson, the librarian at the Lihu‘e Library, said hours of the sale are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Sunday hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“There are more books than ever,” Larson said in an e-mail. “Mysteries, thrillers, romances, classics, history, biography, health, cookbooks, videos, DVDs, CDs and a lot more.”
Proceeds from the fundraising sale go to support the programs and services of the Lihu‘e Public Library such as the popular summer reading programs.
Cash donations are also welcomed. Call 241-3223 to sign up as a volunteer, or for more information on the sale.
