Raynold Stephan Gonsalves of Waimea died Sept. 14, 2010, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at age 81. Born May 23, 1929, in Lahaina, Maui, he was a retired accountant with Kekaha Sugar Company.
He was preceded in death by brothers Chris, Wedigan, Wallace, Alika and Richard; and sisters Bertha Jardine and Elaine Correia.
He is survived by Puanani, sons Aukai (Edene) Gonsalves and Waioli (Jennifer) Gonsalves, both of Honolulu; daughter Mahina Ah Yuen of Honolulu; brother John Gonsalves of Lahaina, Maui; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at the Waimea Sacred Hearts church, with Mass at 3 p.m.
The family requests casual attire and that flowers be omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary.
