That worked out wonderfully as the drums cheered on the runners, but they couldn’t make the football game in Hanapepe because they need a sponsor for the bus.
That wasn’t the case with Calvin Paleka who was helping at the cross country meet before picking up daughter Shannon and making it to the football game at Hanapepe Stadium.
Congratulations to MarieBeth Watanabe who made the softball team at the college she’s going to in Oregon. She was enjoying the final night game before heading to college.
Dr. Paul Esaki said he couldn’t believe his brother Godwin had no blisters after running the half marathon in his slippers at the second Kaua‘i Marathon. And on top of that, he had a better time.
Cody Bonilla was working at the game after spending a day playing beach volleyball, Saturday and helping coach the Kaua‘i girls team, Friday night.
Coach Fred Sasan helped with the finish of the girls cross country team and then was watching equipment for his daughter who was working with Kevin Matsunaga’s video team at the football game.
