KAPA‘A — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash with a car on Kuhio Highway, Friday afternoon in Kapa‘a, a county news release states.
According to a preliminary report, a northbound Chevy sedan driven by a 60-year-old Honolulu woman was turning left into Taco Bell when she crashed into a 33-year-old Hanapepe man who was heading south on a motorcycle.
Both lanes of Kuhio Highway in Kapa‘a in the vicinity of Taco Bell were closed for a little over an hour due to the crash.
The motorcyclist was in serious but stable condition Friday afternoon at Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
The woman was also taken to Wilcox, where she was treated and released.
There were no other parties involved in the crash, the release states.
