Bob “Jos” Joslyn died Sept. 6, 2010 in Princeville at the age of 82. He was born on March 21, 1928 in Chicago, Ill., and retired from Joslyn Manufacturing.
Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mildred Joslyn, brother Chuck and son Rob Joslyn, he is survived by wife Gail Joslyn of Princeville; three children: Jeffery Joslyn of Cleveland, Ohio; Debra (Dave) Bishop of Hudson, Ohio; Brad (Caroline) Joslyn of Hudson, Ohio; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, five stepchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, and his loving service dog Abby.
In lieu of a formal service, the family asks that all who knew Bob will join them in celebrating his life with their own families, as this was Bob’s wish, and that his life be celebrated. Donations can be made on his behalf to Kaua‘i Hospice, 4457 Pahe‘e St., Lihu‘e, HI 96766, or the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are being handled by Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
Raymond Keamohuli
Raymond Kaopuiki Keamohuli of Hanama‘ulu died Aug. 17, 2010 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 63. Born in Pauoa, O‘ahu, he worked at Lihu‘e Airport as a shuttle driver for Thrifty/Dollar Rent A Car.
He is survived by wife Cynthia Lopes Keamohuli; sister Raynette Makepa; brother William “Coppa” Keamohuli; numerous nieces and nephews.
Beachside service will take place on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010 at Kalapaki Beach, with services starting at noon and a celebration of life to follow.
Services will also be held on O‘ahu at a later date and will be announced later.
The family suggests casual attire.

Lindsay Yoshioka
Lindsay Yoshioka of Lihu‘e died Sept. 5, 2010 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 73. Born Nov. 25, 1936 at Makaweli, he was a labor programs field manager with the state Department of Labor and Industrial Relations.
He is survived by wife Joyce Uyeno Yoshioka; sons Lyndon M. (Melona) Yoshioka of Puhi and Cy B. (Terri lyn) Yoshioka of Hilo; one grandson; brothers Charles T. (Kimiko) Yoshioka of Monterey, Calif., Mizuo “Bolo” Yoshioka of Torrance Calif. and Saburo “Sab” (Edith) Yoshioka of Kalaheo; sisters Kiyomi “Kay” (Jack) Higa and Claudia (Leslie) Nakamura, both of Honolulu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010 at the Garden Islands Mortuary chapel, with visitation at 3 p.m. and service at 4 p.m.
The family suggests casual and aloha attire, and that flowers be omitted.

Emmie Ishida
Emmie Kiyomi Ishida of Kane‘ohe, O‘ahu died in Lihu‘e on Sept. 8, 2010 at the age of 86. Born July 15, 1924 on O‘ahu, she was a retired civil service employee at Fort Shafter on O‘ahu.
Preceded in death by parents Kozuchi and Sato Morikawa and sisters Edna Matsumura and Mitsuko Backus, she is survived by husband Richard Ishida of Kane‘ohe; sons Brian (Tina) Ishida of Walnut Creek, Calif.; Eric (Helga) Ishida of Kalaheo; sisters Takino Murata, Margaret Watanabe, Barbara Shimabukuro, Gladys (Charles) Morisako.
Also surviving are grandchildren Brandon, Yukiko, Kendra and Kayla Ishida.
Private services are planned.
