That also means a four-day weekend for many county employees, as Monday is the Labor Day holiday

All county offices, refuse transfer stations, Kekaha Landfill, Puhi Metals Recycling Center, Kaua‘i Resource Center and all HI-5 redemption centers will be closed Monday.
Kapa‘a and Waimea swimming pools are normally closed on Mondays, so will be closed Tuesday to take the holiday, the release states.
Residential refuse pick-up continues as scheduled today and Monday.
The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on a modified schedule on Monday.
Normal business hours for county offices and services will resume on Tuesday, except for the two county swimming pools, which will reopen on Wednesday.
