Tillie Miral Veniegas of Lihu‘e died at her residence on Aug. 23, 2010, at age 88. Born on April 14, 1922, in the Philippines, she was a foster grandparent.
She was preceded in death by daughters Esther Uhrig and Pearl Lydia Veniegas.
She is survived by sons Dennis (Ruth) Sevilla of California, Rudy (Yvonne) Lopez of ‘Ewa Beach, and Lelly (Maureen) Veniegas of O‘ahu; daughters Arlyn Story of Illinois, Sandra Sevilla of California, Lee (Richard) Argus, S.C., Janice (John) Leota of Kapa‘a and Noreen (Miles) Ajifu of Colorado; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation at 9 a.m., service at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary Chapel in Koloa.
The family suggests casual or aloha attire.
Flowers will be accepted, though lei are preferred.
