Hats off to Richard Kuga of Envisioneering on another great General Atomics Science Show and Exposition that opened Wednesday and ends with a teachers workshop Saturday.
Richard has been with the show since it opened, and during one of the seven years it has been here, even Chuck Malley inquired about trying to get it to Nevada.
Speaking of Chuck, he used to be a Rotarian making malasada at the Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau Fair. Now, Lilane Corpuz of the Lihu‘e Pop Warner said Mark Oyama makes the dough and the Lihu‘e parents do the cooking with the players taking orders.
Major Victor Aguilar had his Waimea Junior ROTC cadets helping at the science show and still made it back to school for air-riflery practice.
Brandon Palacio is one of the new shooters and his sister Nicole (remember those Kaulupono girls?) is with the Menehune JV volleyball program … ask him how a dime plays in learning how to shoot.
Akala Aiwohi was enjoying Kapa‘a Eagles football practice, but still worrying about doing food for the farm fair … check them out this weekend!
