Ms. Joyce Evens had her new video crew on hand to do streaming of the Waimea and Hilo pre-season football game under the lights at Hanapepe Stadium.
Coach Jon Kobayashi said he had to forego the Friday game since Koloa School at Movies in the Park with the Rotary Club of Po‘ipu Beach.
Greg Gonsalves and coach Keli‘i Morgado were happy campers, Friday night. Not only did Kapa‘a get a big win over Lethbridge Collegiate Institute, Al Garces and the Kapa‘a HS Foundation gave the athletic department an $18,000 boost courtesy of Art Fujita and the golf tournament the foundation hosted a couple of weeks ago.
And football season is under way because Brenda Sameshima said she’s already got her Raiders logowear ordered in preparation for all the tailgate parties. Maybe Veronica Lovesy will throw a few of those at the Kukui‘ula Shopping Village and Brenda can come straight from work.
Kudos to Sara Miura and the Miura ‘ohana on a great 101st anniversary event, Saturday! The shave ice looked real good, but the Bonnie Ellamar burger from Higashi’s just called a little louder, and that’s not a joke!
