Senior golf tournament
The Kaua‘i Senior Golf Club will be holding its third quarterly golf tournament on Aug. 28 at the Wailua Golf Course.
The late entry fee for the tournament, currently in effect, is $11. Annual dues is $8.
All senior golfers with an established handicap reaching 50 years of age by Dec. 31, 2010 are welcome to come join in on the fun.

GIFC looking for soccer players
Garden Island Football Club is looking for boys and girls to form teams for the Fall KSA 7 vs. 7 season.
To join the U12 team, date of birth must be between Aug. 1, 1998 and July 31, 2000.
To join the U14 team, date of birth must be between Aug. 1, 1996 and July 31, 1998.
To join the U16 team, date of birth must be between Aug. 1, 1994 and July 31, 1996.

HSF Kaua‘i first contest, Sept. 11-12
The Hawai‘i Surfing Federation Kaua‘i 2010-11 contest season gets underway with the first event being held at 8 a.m. on Sept. 11-12 at Prince Kuhio.
The 13 divisions that will hold contests will be Menehune Shortboard (11 and under), Boys 12-13 Shortboard, Boys 14-15 Shortboard, Juniors Shortboard 16-17, Girls 13 and Under Shortboard, Girls 14-15 Shortboard, Girls 16-17 Shortboard, Men 18-24 Shortboard, Senior Men 25 and Over Shortboard, Longboard Open, Stand-up Paddle Open, Boys 14 and Under Bodyboard and Boys 15-17 Bodyboard.

HSF is part of the Kaua‘i YMCA Youth Sports Program.
