Betty Herron
Betty Lou Herron of Kapa‘a died Aug. 10, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 65. Born on Aug. 23, 1944, in Mobile, Ala., she retired from the State of California as a grant writer.
She is survived by her husband Russ Bozarth of Kapa‘a; sons Jeff (Jeannine Berger) Shamrock, Brian (Kimberly) Shamrock and Thomas (Tracy) Bozarth; daughter Jennifer (Jeff) Happs; mother Betty Lou Herron; brother Steven (Margie) Herron; sister Terry (Roger) Spencer; stepsister Arthene (Bob) Loureiro, all of California; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one nephew.
Visitation at 9 a.m., memorial service at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 18, at Lihu‘e Lutheran Church.
Arrangements are being handled by Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
Linda Kali
Linda “Mahina” H. Kali of ‘Ele‘ele died June 13, 2010, at home at age 53. Born on April 27, 1957, in Lihu‘e, she was a secretary for Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Haru Kali.
She is survived by her ‘ohana, and her brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.
Visitation at 10 a.m., services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at Po‘ipu Beach Park Pavilion.

Wayne Toyofuku
Wayne Hajime Toyofuku of Miami, Fla., died July 12, 2010, in Miami, Fla., at age 61. Born on May 13, 1949, in Lihu‘e, he was a larviculture general manager for San Bernardo Sea Farms.
He was preceded in death by his mother Thelma Tomie Sugahara and father Nelson Toshikazu Toyofuku.
He is survived by his wife Jacqueline Toyofuku; daughters Tomie (Juan) Orellana and Mai Toyofuku; son Hajime Toyofuku; grandson Nelson Orellana; and brother Dan Toyofuku; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held on Sunday, Aug. 8, at Lihu‘e Christian Church.
A private burial was held.
