Ashley Nagaoka went from KGMB9 news all the way to Washington, D.C., but came home to congratulate her brother Ryan who was one of eight new Kaua‘i firefighters who were welcomed Monday.
Lynne Nagaoka, Ryan’s mom, also came in to congratulate the new firefighter.
Ed Kawamura was accompanying Sen. Norman Sakamoto who stopped by to congratulate all of the new firefighters.
Kaua‘i basketball coach Sandi Nadatani stopped by so she could congratulate Russell Fujimoto, and soccer coaches Richard and Lynn Minei were the proud parents of Jacob Minei. Talk about community… we have a lot of good Kaua‘i Fire Department coaches out there on the soccer fields!
Coach William Trugillo was among the crowd and said soccer is going to be starting up in a couple of weeks. He promised to send schedules so stay tuned.
