Liz Ronaldson (congratulations on winning the St. Regis two-night stay!) was there and still able to make the Friday agriculture conference hosted by the Kaua‘i Economic Development Board (congratulations to Susan Tai-Kaneko — she got married while coordinating this whole event), and Roy Oyama said he had to work in the fields with a flashlight Friday morning to make the conference.
Jerry Ornellas is already looking ahead to the Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau Fair (mark your calendars for Aug. 26!) and Dan Kouchi said he’ll probably have to work there before having to go back to school.
Dickie Chang and Bruce Smalling were having a field day at the Kaua‘i Community Market (Rodney and Emily Yap of Toronto, Canada, were there) on Saturday getting ready for the Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau Fair.
But, you gotta take the time to sample the guava pie from The Right Slice … it’s ono!
