Mary Dawson
Mary Martinez Dawson of Hanapepe died July 31, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 83. Born on Dec. 6, 1926, in Honolulu, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Dawson Jr., and son George Combista.
She is survived by her sons Jeffrey Dawson of California and Mark Dawson of California; daughters Martha (Wesley) Cronk of Lawa‘i and Warlita Combista of the Philippines; and 15 grandchildren.
Visitation at 9 a.m., service at 9:30 a.m., on Thursday, Aug. 12, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary Chapel. Burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested.

Richard Eilts
Richard H. Eilts of Lihu‘e died July 25, 2010, at his home at age 97. Born on April 24, 1913, he was a retired construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rehnt and Eliza Eilts, and wife Coda Eilts.
He is survived by his daughters Linda Foster of Long Beach, Calif., and Florence Williams of Woodland, Calif.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Viewing at 9:30 a.m., service at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, Aug. 9, at Kapa‘a Seventh Day Adventist Church. Burial to follow at Kalapaki Bay.

Justin Chad Kaimana Batin-Kaui of Koloa died July 27, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 8. Born on Feb. 16, 2002, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, he was a student at Koloa Elementary School.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Angelo Batin Sr.; auntie Angie “Gigie” Kamakea; paternal grandmother Thelma “Tootsie” Kaui; and paternal grandfather Joaquin “Joe” Freitas Jr.
He is survived by his parents Catherine “Cathy” Batin-Curammeng and Carl Kaui; sisters Caitlyn Denae Batin-Kaui of Koloa, Ceanna-Lei Batin-Kaui of Koloa, Jasmine Batin of Salinas, Calif., Carl-lynn (Lance Corpuz) Keoho-Kaui of ‘Ele‘ele and Courtney (Kaipo Hookano) Kaui of Kaumakani; brothers Jayson Curammeng of Salinas, Calif., and Kalei (Chanel Lagmay) Kaui of Kapa‘a; grandmother Cresencia Batin of Koloa; great-grandmother Ana Molina of Koloa; hanai ‘ohana Santiago “Papa Ago” (LeAnn Fu) Leones Jr. of Lihu‘e; cousin Dalen Leones of Lihu‘e; niece Zhara-Lei Corpuz of ‘Ele‘ele; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

On July 20, 2010 at 12:45 p.m., Jasmine Kainoa Chandler Forrest died July 20, 2010, at 12:45 p.m., at her home, after her battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family and friends as she left on her final journey to meet her Father in heaven. Born on May 14, 1964, the tenth of fifteen children, she dedicated her life to the perpetuation of her Hawaiian heritage through the Hanalei Hawaiian Civic And Canoe Club. Her goal in life was to always make things better than they were, especially in her community. She was a loving spouse, mother, sister, aunty, cousin and coach whose love for the ocean was only exceeded by her love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her father Francis Chandler; mother Elizabeth “Kapeka” Mahuiki Chandler; nephew Lokomaika‘i “Kai” Chandler; and brother William Chandler.
She is survived by her husband Ralph Arthur Forrest Jr.; children Lilinoe ‘Elikapeka Forrest, Chandler Arthur Pomaika‘i Seneca Forrest, Devin Christopher Kamealoha Forrest, Wai‘oli Darren Angelo Forrest and Kailoa Ho‘okele Judd Forrest; siblings Juanita Chandler Montanez, Bethan Pualani Fatima (Robert) Baptista, Francis Elias (Rhoda) Chandler Jr., Lawrence La‘amaikahiki (Amie) Chandler, Kirkland (Hilary) Chandler, Aloysius Kahimoku (Nancy) Chandler, Jeffery (Linda) Chandler, Germaine “Venna” Gerard Chandler, Colan Chad “Toleto” (Coty) Chandler, Belinda Mary Nohealani (Tita Iwa) Chandler, Silas Paul “Pa‘ula” Chandler, Rachel Keikila‘auowakanahele (Jack) Correa, Conrad Hokolani (Thomas) Chandler and Ruth “Luka” Naomi Chandler; numerous nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles and cousins.
