In case you are wondering what happened to that killer juice bar by the public swimming pool in Kapa‘a, wonder no more. It’s still open, but it moved last March to a better location. It’s now attached to Kapa‘a’s Coral Reef Hotel.
The Coconut Cup offers a pretty extensive and healthy menu. Owner Christa Hall will tell you that her favorite is “The Sleeping Giant.”
This mega-healthy drink, besides all the yummy organic fruit, also has organic kale and spirulina, giving you a day-long health boost.
The Coconut Cup uses no ice in their smoothies, it’s all made with fresh fruit or veggies. They also serve yummy sandwiches made with bread from the Deli & Bread Connection, delicious bagels, cookies from Country Moon and Ono Kuki, and salads made with 100 percent local organic produce.
It’s local all the way from the earth to the cup or plate.
The health-oriented entrepreneur and her husband Johnny have a 3-year-old boy, Jack. The whole family can be seen quite often strolling the bike path behind her juice bar, taking along their loyal four-legged and furry family member Scout.
The Coconut Cup is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. On Sundays they open an hour later, after all, an extra hour of sleep is also a recipe for long life. But they still close at 5 p.m.
