LIHU‘E — Haleko Road between Rice Street and Pua Loke Street in Lihu‘e will be open to just one lane of traffic from 9 p.m. today to 6 a.m. Sunday, weather-permitting, for installation of telecommunications cable, states a county press release.
During those hours, traffic on Haleko heading towards Rice Street will be detoured to Kaumuali‘i Highway via Hala Road near the Department of Water.
Flaggers will control traffic.
Team Projects Inc. (TPI) will be installing fiber-optic cabling on Haleko Road.
Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays while driving through this area.
