LIHU‘E — Kaua‘i women captured their division in the Kaua‘i Stage Race, and Binney Williamson topped the Senior Men 4/5 and Master Men 4/ 5 divisions.
Summary results were submitted by Kaua‘i Stage Race Director Atomman Kimm, Monday morning.
Patti Jennings was named to the top spot of the Women division followed by Lois Lutz, Cary Hitsley and Heather Barth rounding out the leaderboard.
Jennings topped the division in the Time Trials phase, one of three in the Kaua‘i Stage Race, on a 29:55 run, averaging 20.1 mph. Lutz followed with a 31:43 ride, averaging 18.9 mph.
Hitsley (33:28) and Barth (35:13) finished the Time Trials fourth and fifth, respectively.
Those results were posted at Pacific Sports Event, which provided timing equipment used to time the different events. Owner Steve Foster noted it is the same system utilized at the Tour de France. Results from the Road Race phase were still pending at press time.
Jennings finished second overall in the Criterium, which was held at the Vidinha Stadium parking lot.
