Hats off to Chad Rausch and his Kawaihau Community Little League ‘ohana in pulling together the 2010 District 1 Major Tournament!
Tournament director Bob Kawamoto got to meet Kaua‘i Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr., and mahalo to the scorekeepers for keeping everyone informed.
Bob Frey of ESPN (you gotta see him drive the hopped-up golf cart) said the Mana drags will be on ESPN2 in two weeks on the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series.
Ron Wiley, Anahola Joel Pahukula and Jason Fujinaka all made it out to Mana to join ESPN in providing coverage for the drag races.
Hats off to Bobby Barros and all the Garden Island Racing Association on pulling together a great series. Franklin Fontanilla brought out his ’67 Camaro that still has Hurricane Iniki damage and Al Stiglmeyer had his Sour Kraut VW out.
And if you missed Lawson Fernandez, check out the “Mulan” play this weekend where Lawson plays Dr. Shang on Friday and Saturday night starting at 7 p.m. and Sunday starting at 4 p.m. at the Kaua‘i Community College Performing Arts Center.
