Apollo Kaua‘i invites the public to attend its free meeting at 6 p.m., Thursday, at the Mo‘ikeha Room in Lihu‘e Civic Center for practical, “How to,” presentations and discussion with Kaua‘i residents who are using their successful, self-built solar systems. Learn from Walt Barnes the steps you can take to install part or all of your own solar PV (photovoltaic) system, a news release states.
DA Solar will explain the process for design and installation and the latest developments in presently available PV panels.
As well as offering financial assistance programs which make a professional solar water heating system more affordable, KIUC will describe a new alternative water heating system which is very much less expensive than a solar system to buy and qualifies for a generous KIUC rebate and the state and federal tax credits too, the release says.
