Daezsa Tomas did it, again!
Almost three months to the day after dropping an ace at the Wailua Golf Course No. 14, Tomas carded another hole-in-one at the Kiahuna Golf Course last Sunday.
That ace helped her and teammate Naea Oda capture top honors in the 13-18 Girls Championship with an aggregate score of 157 (72/85) at the Kaua‘i Junior Golf Association 2010 Spring Classic.
Taylor Viquelia teamed with Janae Park to finish with an aggregate 178 (78/102) for second place in the division.
Matthias Davis was the swing man for the 13-14 Boys Championship class, teaming with Ken Miyata and Bryden Salvador.
Following the Sunday round, the Miyata/Davis team and the Salvador/Davis team finished in an identical tie at 168 (76/92).
Ron Peeren, the tournament chair for the KJGA, said the Miyata/Davis team was declared the winner following two playoff holes.
K.C. Loo and Landon Ishida filled in third place of that division with an aggregate 190 (88/102).
Pono Tokioka teamed with Justin Uegawa to finish with an aggregate 160 (73/87) to finish top of the 15-18 Boys Championship flight, five strokes ahead of the team of Reyn Morioka and Braeden Robley who finished at 165 (81/84).
Logan Gibson, playing in the 10 and Under Junior Tees flight, finished with an even par 72 to take the flight over Rilen Loo who finished the 18-hole stroke play, Saturday, at 78.
Trevor Kua finished top at the 10-12 Championship flight with an 83. Reece Valencia (94), Keith Jose (107), and Hi‘ilani Rosa-Alana rounded out the field at 108, just a stroke back of Jose.
Danny and Joyce Tomas, grandparents of Daezsa, treated all tournament golfers to pizza and beverage in celebration of Daezsa’s ace.
Daezsa’s first hole-in-one was carded on March 7 at the Wailua Golf Course No. 14 hole.
