KALAHEO — Michael Booth finished with a game-high 21 points and Thomas Yam added 10 points to lead the Kaua‘i Ballers to a four-point advantage over Westside Basketball, Thursday night.
That was one of three games played in the Boys 12 and Under basketball summer league hosted by the Kaua‘i Youth Basketball Association and the County of Kaua‘i at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
Bobby Oliver paced the Westside effort with 16 points, followed by Briggs Agu’s 10 points.
Balanced scoring by Papalina led by Kai Lewis with eight points, Kamea Palama-Alquiza with seven points and Joseph Camat with six points was the key to a 32-20 showing over Team Central, which got 14 points from Kaone Miguel.
Dante Dikeman had 13 points and Triston Inanod added 10 points to lead Hanakila to a 40-21 victory over Lihu‘e, which got a dozen points from Lanakila Wilson.
A pair of Girls 14 and Under games take the floor today when Waimea goes up against Kaulupono starting at 2 p.m. at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
That game will be followed by the Kaua‘i Ballers A taking on the Kaua‘i Ballers B starting at 3 p.m.
Monday night, the Girls 12 and Under take the floor starting at 6 p.m. when the Kamikaze tip off against Lihu‘e, followed by Kaulupono hosting the Kaua‘i Ballers starting at 7 p.m.
