LIHU‘E — The 2010-11 version of the Kaua‘i Hawaiian Telcom telephone books recently distributed contain errors, including omission of all state-government contacts.
The company’s phone-book publisher, The Berry Company of Colorado, said in a press release an updated supplement will be available June 7, but printed versions will only go to those who ask for them.
The letter from Gov. Linda Lingle and Lt. Gov. James “Duke” Aiona in the Kaua‘i phone book refers to the Hawaiian Telcom Maui directory, listed under the heading “O‘ahu shopping around the island” are Kaua‘i shopping centers large and small, and listed under the heading “Maui golf facilities” are all the Kaua‘i golf courses.
The Berry press release states that errors in the Kaua‘i phone book are found in the governor’s letter, government pages and select pages in the community section.
Printed copies of the supplement (with the corrected information) will be mailed to all who request them beginning the week of June 14, the release states.
They can be reserved by calling Berry’s distribution center at 1-808-833-2018 or toll-free 1-888-833-2018.
An updated directory will be available online at www.htyellowpages.com the week of June 7.
