LIHU‘E — Michelle Malkin, a conservative blogger, syndicated columnist, author and Fox News Channel contributor, is the newest columnist being inserted into The Garden Island’s commentary rotation on the Forum page, announced Randy Kozerski, publisher and editor.
Her columns will appear beginning June 2, and will run each Wednesday.
Malkin started her journalism career at the Los Angeles Daily News in 1992 and moved to the Seattle Times in 1996. Her newspaper column has been syndicated nationally by Creators Syndicate since 1999.
Malkin publishes her conservative blog, michellemalkin.com, and founded hotair.com, a leading news and opinion group blog on the right.
She has worked as a Fox News Channel contributor since 2001, where she appears frequently on “The Sean Hannity Show,” “Fox & Friends” and other programs.
She has written four best-selling books: “Invasion: How America Still Welcomes Terrorists, Criminals, and other Foreign Menaces to Our Shares” (Regnery 2002), “In Defense of Internment: The Case for ‘Racial Profiling’ in World War II and the War on Terror” (Regnery 2004), “Unhinged: Exposing Liberals Gone Wild” (Regnery 2005), “Culture of Corruption” (Regnery 2009).
Born in Philadelphia and raised in New Jersey, she is an alumna of Holy Spirit High School and Oberlin College. Malkin lives in Colorado Springs with her husband and two children.
Beginning May 31, the weekly lineup of commentaries should look like this: Sunday, staff-produced editorial or other column; Monday, Diana West; Tuesday, Donna Brazile; Wednesday, Malkin; Thursday, Gene Lyons; Friday, Byron York; Saturday, rotating between Princeville’s Walter Lewis, Nat Hentoff, Mort Kondracke and others.
