Police received the call at 11:06 a.m. today in Hanama‘ulu, but there has been no contact recently with the man.
A crisis negotiator, SWAT team and mobile incident command unit are on the scene at the man’s house at 4285 Kailewa Street.
Nearby residents have been advised to stay secure in their homes.
The perimeter is controlled, but traffic is still reportedly able to pass through the area.
