Congratulations to all the graduates during Friday night’s graduations! The sad thing is there are only two weeks left before Nicole Farr (she got to hang with Lanaly Cabalo during the recent state games for softball, volleyball and track) leaves Waimea for the Mainland. Nicole didn’t even have Waimea-wear for the graduation.
Dr. Lloyd Fujimoto had his big guns at the Kaua‘i graduation since his son was walking, and Joe Olivas got hired for Project Graduation at the Waimea graduation. Rebecca Smith had to attend the Kaua‘i graduation and spend the night with the Waimea grads. She was helping Carol Texeira at the Taste of Waimea Thursday night as well.
Speaking of taste, Freckles Smith is already gearing up for the Rotary Club of Kapa‘a’s Taste of Hawai‘i at Smith’s Tropical Gardens. If you haven’t gotten your ticket, check out any of the Rotarians. Freckles was touring the grounds at the Walter Smith regatta, Saturday.
OK guys, this is it…PONY baseball single elimination tournament, Lihu‘e Baseball League Memorial Day Bash and the Polynesian Festival. Take your pick; it’s going to be a busy weekend.
