Team Onipa‘a took home the championship in the HYSA Kaua‘i Soccer Association’s Boys Under 8 division with a 6-0 win on May 15 against the West Side Falcons. Conor Hunt got the boys out to an early lead with a hat trick and a 3-0 advantage. Bryson Kapahu, Benjamin Griep and Nicholas Semblante added the team’s three additional scores, all coming the second half. Goalie Christian Schmidt came away with the shutout with the help of his defensive unit.
