Rosario Ventula Ralleta of Waipahu died April 28, 2010, at Queen’s Medical Center, Honolulu, at age 85. Born on July 9, 1924, in Koloa, she was an elementary school teacher and a retired trimmer at Dole Pineapple Cannery.
She is survived by her husband Federico A. of Waipahu; sons James (Delia) of Union City, Calif., Benedict of Honolulu, Marser “Marc” (Sandra) of Ewa Beach, and Federico Jr. (Rebecca) of Ewa Beach; daughter Zorahayda (Wilson) Pascua of Waipahu; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters Antonia Balicanta of Pearl City, Josephine Amaral, Rose (Leroy) Alip, Priscilla (Chester) Hetrick and Carmen (Paul) Green all of Kaua‘i; brother John (Elaine) Ventura of Kaua‘i; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation from 5 to 6:30 p.m., service at 6:30 p.m., on Friday, May 21, at Nu‘uanu Memorial Park and Mortuary East Chapel.
Visitation again from 9 to 9:30 a.m., on Saturday, May 22, at the mortuary Chapel of Flowers. Burial at noon, at the Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
