Marc Cole

Marc Cole of Princeville died May 7, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 53. Born on Jan. 17, 1957, in Los Angeles, Calif., he was a surf instructor at The Surf Clinic of Hanalei.

He is survived by brothers Jack Cole and Michael Cole.

A wake will be held at noon, on Sunday, May 16, at Grandpa’s.

Arrangements are being handled by Life Bridges Hawai‘i.

Raymond Hoe

Raymond K.M. Hoe of Lawa‘i died April 1, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 86. Born on Oct. 9, 1923, in Wailuku, Maui, he was a retired U.S. civil service Pearl Harbor naval shipyard administrator, and a corporal U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife Katherine Hoe; sons Raymond, Allen and David Hoe; two grandchildren; brothers Eugene Bal Jr., Daniel Ho, Wendell Ho and Damien Ho; sisters Beatrice Silva, Marie Quemado and Flora Ho.

Memorial service from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., on Tuesday, May 18, at Lawa‘i Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Aloha attire is suggested.

Richard Silva

Richard “Dickie” Silva of Lawa‘i died May 7, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 81. Born on Sept. 30, 1928, in Koloa, he was a diesel mechanic for Pacific Machinery.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Rose Silva.

He is survived by his wife Louise Silva; son Wayne (Denise) Silva of ‘Oma‘o; daughters Sharon (Duane) Hahn of Honolulu, Joyce (Greg) Clute of Honolulu, Lisa (Roger) Taniguchi of Makaweli; brothers Robert (Josephine) Silva of ‘Ele‘ele and James (Patricia) Silva of San Diego, Calif.; hanai sisters Diana (Darrel) Simao and Linda (Michael) Koerte; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation at 8:30 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., on Saturday, May 15, at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa. Burial to follow at Hanapepe Veterans Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary.
