Hats off to Mia Ako and her KEDB staff on another great Robotics Expo (she had Gerald taking pictures), Saturday, at Kukui Grove Center.
Stu Burley (he was just named Outstanding Older American, Thursday) didn’t have time for fishing since he was helping with the Waimea High School ROV program (Denice Sheffer has some video uploaded to You Tube). Since it was so close to the Kaua‘i Orchid Society Mother’s Day Show and Sale, Noel Brooks came over trying to see if robots could do some orchid-care chores.
On the other side of the mall, Madeline Hiraga-Nuccio could not do soccer since she was helping Dave Jordan and the Friendship House people with the Mental Health Fair (check out Dr. Angela Correale and The Gallery on July 9).
Speaking of soccer, Jane Garma said this weekend is the final week for KSA soccer.
Kudos to Laola Lake, Tom Bartlett and the Kaua‘i Hoe Wa‘a crew for a great Kaua‘i World Challenge. Sueo Higa did the Kaua‘i Loves You triathlon last week and the World Challenge this week — brutal!
OK, time to settle down. It’s KCC graduation, Friday, and the Visitor Industry Charity Walk, Saturday.
