Kaua‘i High School poets Dayna Agustin (left) and Estee Vasquez were among a dozen poets performing at lunch hour Wednesday for the school’s Fifth Annual Poetry Slam celebrating April as National Poetry Month. Agustin, Vasquez and Cinzia Bruno were voted top poets of the day. Each Wednesday in April students gathered in the school library for a poetry slam organized by English teacher Paul Cline. Local poets Leah Tamara Harry, Sun-the-One and Elevate joined the celebration this week. See thegardenisland.com for a video.
