Marc Sicignano of Mac Made Easy found a new use for his iPad (he got another shipment in). It’s perfect for holding the light cues for “Once Upon A Mattress” which opens this weekend at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall. Marc does the light management for the play and says it’s a good escape from the shop.
On the other side of town, Pat Gegen said the Christmas lights are going to give him away when “Annie Jr.” opens this Friday at the Kalaheo School cafeteria. Pat said to come early for food, and if you get a candy bar, it serves as a ticket for a Tiffany locket which will be given away during the May 1 performance.
Hats off to Eric Yama and all those Kiwanis and Key Clubs (even got to see Val Saiki from Kapa‘a) on a great French Toast breakfast! Mary Lardizabal said her Kapa‘a Middle School Ukulele Band and Chorus came straight from a church performance to entertain at the breakfast, and Derek Kawakami was wrapping up a long weekend serving coffee. Robert Tamura didn’t have soccer, Sunday, so was enjoying not one, but two servings of the meal.
OK, ‘nuff said… baseball in Kapa‘a, softball at Isenberg, volleyball at Kaua‘i? Gotta run. State qualifying tennis starts tomorrow.
