WAILUA — The search for a 26-year-old male visitor who went missing Thursday resumed this morning in Wailua Valley.
Rescue specialists from the Lihu‘e fire station along with state Department of Land and Natural Resources personnel and a canine search team began searching for the man at around 8 a.m., a county news release states.
The search is ongoing at this hour.
The man disappeared near Secret Falls along the Wailua River.
The man was apparently behaving erratically during a tour and ran into the forest. Emergency dispatch was called and the Kauai Fire Department initiated a search, which continued until dark.
