Brian Yamamoto (he’s one of the stalwart Kapa‘a track supporters) said he’s gotta check out the Garden Fair in the afternoon since he has a field trip in the morning.
There are a lot of events today, starting with Cindy Edralin and her ‘ohana at the MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Walk at Kukui Grove Center. Trinette Kaui said she’ll be part of that and hopefully have time to check out the Kiwanis French Toast Breakfast Sunday too. Charlene Navarro and her Kaua‘i High School Key Club members will be there helping.
In between that, Tom Shigemoto and the Boy Scouts of America, Aloha Council, hosts its annual makahiki at Vidinha Stadium. Jane Garma will be in Hanapepe with the KSA (Kaua‘i Soccer Association) soccer games, the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation tennis (Kapa‘a has its prom tonight) and the KIF baseball doubleheader.
And just because it’s Earth Day, check out Thomas Noyes and the Friends of Kamalani who will be doing park cleanup. Ray Carpenter of the Rotary Club of Kapa‘a said they’ll be repainting the comfort station with the help of members of the Interact Club of Kapa‘a High School.
Don’t forget Nelson Batalion and the Associated Students of the University of Hawai‘i-Kaua‘i Community College Earth Day, Thursday at KCC. You can always check out Noel Mock who has some of the UH logo-wear from the Green and White game at the KCC Bookstore.
