Pre-registration for the first Chad Owens All-Star Football Camp will start tonight at the Kukui Grove Center exhibition area near the Deja Vu store.
The camp will run on May 8 at the Kapa‘a New Park from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature Owens, Chris Teves and the staff of Hawai‘i Football School.
Teddy Arroyo, one of the coaches for the Lihu‘e Pop Warner Association and a football official for the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation, said the camp is one way aspiring football players can improve their game from some of the best names in football.
Registration fee is $100 for the day-long camp and will include a camp T-shirt as well as other items.
During the registration which runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Arroyo, Teves and other volunteers from Kaua‘i will be available to answer questions about what football players can expect out of the camp.
Future registrations for the camp will be held on April 23 and April 30, also at the Kukui Grove Center exhibition area.
Lilane Corpuz, president of the LPWA and a Kaua‘i volunteer for the camp, said notices have been sent out to all the teams in the Kaua‘i Pop Warner Association and she is trying to contact the high-school football coaches because the camp offers benefits for football players of all levels.
