Lenny Rapozo was really moved with Kaua‘i football coach Derek Borrero who came out with more than 60 of his players to help with the UH Green and White game. Brad Hiranaka also had about 20 of his Kaua‘i Youth Football players, and this is not counting the scores of Special Olympic athletes who were out in force to help show the support Kaua‘i has for the University of Hawai‘i. Randall Francisco even got John Constantino to get some of his ASUH-Kaua‘i students out to help at the autograph session.
Hats off to Warren Koga, coach Hank Ibia and all the Kaua‘i High School baseball boosters on a great community event, Sunday (you needed to hear Kaleo Cummings do his entertainment gig… great!). There was a good breakfast, some great Ross Shimabukuro shots (on the silent auction TV) and even Kamala Alo (Kahuku grad), freshman DB for the Warriors, was helping Skye Shimabukuro get cars queued up for the car wash.
OK, time to burn the midnight oil — it’s tax time!
