Beth Tokioka was busy greeting people and helping Marty Amaro (he was busy brewing coffee for the UH guests) by distributing coffee samples. Sue Kanoho said she got an e-mail from Lanaly Cabalo (I’m sure she wanted to come in the worst way) informing that Jett is running for ASUH president, and if elected, is the second Kaua‘i boy to hold that office after Luke Evslin held it two years ago.
Lani Kawahara and John Sydney Yamane missed the game since they were at the Democratic convention, but did make it to the autograph session.
Kaua‘i Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. was able to take in the March for Babies and make it to the game, where he welcomed the UH guests as well as the people who took advantage of the free game.
Hats off to Lenny Rapozo of the county Parks and Recreation Department, who praised his stadium grounds crew for the immaculate conditions at Vidinha Stadium.
