Jacqueline Ruth
Jacqueline Louise Ruth of Lihu‘e died April 3, 2010, at her home at age 66. Born on Oct. 11, 1943, in Dayton, Ohio, she retired from Sears in Lihu‘e and was known as the “Tool Lady.”
She is survived by her companion Manly “Andy” Anderson of Lihu‘e; daughter Katrina Conser of Laupahoehoe, Hawai‘i; one grandson; five great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary.
Kenji Kimoto
Kenji Kimoto of Kekaha died March 7, 2010, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at age 95. Born on Oct. 14, 1914, in Kekaha, he was a purchasing supervisor with Kekaha Sugar Company.
He is survived by his wife Mitsue Kimoto; sons Bruce (Louise) Kimoto and Walter (Joi) Kimoto; daughter Elizabeth (Leslie) Iida; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers Mamoru Kimoto and James Kimoto; sisters Ellen Kimoto, Yoshie Tanaka and Katherine Kimoto.
Services will be private.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary.
Terry Jay
Terry “TJ” Edwin Jay of Anahola died March 12, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 68. Born on April 12, 1941, in Mission Viejo, Calif., he retired from Two Frogs Hugging and worked at his family farm in Moloa‘a.
He was preceded in death by his father M. Nixon Jay and mother Eileen Jay.
He is survived by his daughter Carly Eddahri of Virginia; son Joshua Jay of California; brother Randy Jay of Kaua‘i; and one grandson.
A celebration of his life and spreading of his ashes will take place on his birthday, April 12. The location is to be determined.

Magua Hesapene
Magua Tanacio Hesapene died March 31, 2010, at his home at age 89. Born on May 22, 1920, in Zamboanga, Mindinao, Philippines, he retired as a mechanic at Kekaha Sugar Company.
He was preceded in death by his brother Felix Libre; sons Dean Hesapene and Kenneth Hesapene.
He is survived by his wife Corazon Hesapene; sons Marvin (Iris) Hesapene and David (Camille) Hesapene, both of Hanapepe; daughters Verna (Mike) Kirsch of San Diego, Calif., Sharon (Byron) Ariola of Sherwood, Ore., and Audrey (Steve) Franco of Kekaha; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother Raymond Hesapene of Kekaha; sister Susanna (Joseph) Sabala of Pearl City, O‘ahu; daughter-in-law Juno Hesapene of San Diego, Calif.; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., on Saturday, April 10, at St. Theresa’s Church. Burial at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Casual attire is suggested.
