Edward Masatoshi Ihara of Kalaheo died April 1, 2010, in Honolulu at age 84. Born on Jan. 21, 1926, in Waipahu, he was a receiving clerk for Coco Palms Hotel.
He is survived by his wife Betty Ihara of Kalaheo; daughters Sharlyne (Michael) Fallon of Florida, Tamra (Warren) Ihara of Kaua‘i, Ellarye (Ron) Ramos of Florida and Bekki (Mark) Malapit of Kaua‘i; four grandchildren; sisters Merlin Sakai of Aiea, Edith Matsuda of Pearl City, Harriet Ihara of Oakland, Calif.; and brother Wallace Ihara of Makakilo, O‘ahu.
Casual attire is suggested.
Memorial services at 2 p.m., on Thursday, April 8, at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery. Pending inurnment at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
Arrangements are being handled by Nu‘uanu Memorial Park and Mortuary.
